One of the hottest properties in European football this season, Erling Braut Haaland has had many of the world’s biggest sides falling over themselves in a bid to land his signature. The Guardian even reported that the Norway international is attracting interest from an incredible 20 clubs, and when looking at what he has done this season, that is little surprise to see.
The 19-year-old has bagged an astounding 28 goals in just 22 games across all competitions, with eight of them coming in the Champions League alone. Reports in recent weeks had suggested Manchester United are set to enquire about his availability in the upcoming January transfer window, but following a disappointing display against Liverpool on Tuesday night, fans of the Manchester side were a little hesitant in their club’s interest in the striker.
As per Sofascore, he made just ten passes all game, won no ground duels and had just 23 touches overall. It was a performance that Red Devils supporters were not too impressed by, with a few of them making unfavourable comparisons with former United striker Romelu Lukaku.
It seems like his teammates are avoiding him in buildups. like they know the ball will bounce off him or something. We need to stop with the lukaku tap in merchants. Players like martial and (werner) are so crucial to how we play nowadays. They need to be able to be in buildups

He’s similar to Lukaku from what I’ve seen in this match. Man’s good in the box,his overall gameplay doesn’t appeal much tbh. I’d rather stick with Martial he is far better than this Haaland guy or for rotations I’d get that guy Martinez from Inter or Werner.

Some fans stated that he isn’t suited to the Premier League, and even suggested that he isn’t up to the standard required at United.
He wouldn’t last in the prem

Yes,don’t think he would be a great signing for us,he’s more of a target man,no pace, similar to giroud

He does not meet the @ManUtd standard. My opinion.

That’s why we shouldnt sign him ..he doesnt look the part

At just 19, Haaland came up against the reigning Champions League holders and the current leaders of the Premier League. If ever there was a game for him to potentially have an off-night, then that would be it. So for United fans to judge him as not being good enough based on his performance on Tuesday night seems a little narrow-minded, overlooking the incredible feats he has managed over the entire season. The Norwegian will no doubt remain a hot commodity in the upcoming transfer windows.
