Having really broken through under Jose Mourinho, Scott McTominay has nailed down a position in central midfield under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer too.

The Scotland international featured 31 times under Mourinho before the Portuguese man was sacked as the Red Devils boss last December.

If he had any reservations about potentially being displaced in the United set-up with the arrival of Solskjaer, then that has not been the case. The 22-year-old has played 29 times in total for the Norwegian, and his start to the current campaign has been his most impressive to date.

He has scored twice and provided a further assist in 13 games this season, and delivered an imposing display in the heart of midfield against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup.

The Red Devils academy product made five tackles and five interceptions, and received the second-highest match rating of 7.2, as per Sofascore.
