So the transfer rumours are really beginning to kick into overdrive now. With just over a month to go before the January window opens, Manchester United appear to be at the top of the list in terms of the number of players being linked with a move to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have reportedly been eyeing up Mario Mandzukic and Callum Wilson as they look to address their goal-scoring issues - they have managed just 16 goals in 12 games in the Premier League this season.

But now, it appears Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have their hearts set on completing two big-money deals when January rolls around. According to Goal, the club could "shelve" moves for the likes of Mandzukic and Declan Rice, in order to pursue both Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho.

The report claims that United's financial position means deals for the duo are completely viable, and the transfer update saw United fans flood to Twitter to voice their excitement at the news.

Many supporters of the Manchester side revealed that they would be in dreamland if they could pull it off, and insisted they would be thanking Ed Woodward if it managed it happen.
