So in a miserable start to the current campaign which sees the club lie in tenth in the Premier League, the pressure has well and truly gone up a notch on Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Reports in recent weeks have suggested the Norwegian is fighting for his job at Old Trafford, and that has understandably led to speculation linking other managers to possibly taking over.

One man who appears to be in the frame is Ralf Rangnick, with Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk claiming the German is still an option at United if Solskjaer gets sacked. It is further claimed that the current head of sport and development at Red Bull GmBH is interested in taking over too.

After hearing of their club's links to the 61-year-old, United fans flooded to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the situation.

Many supporters of the Manchester side threw their backing behind a potential move, with one fan in particular claiming that "his style is perfect" for the club due to his "aggressive pressing".
