Linked with a move to Manchester United before the club completed an £80m deal for Harry Maguire, it appears Merih Demiral's name hasn't quite disappeared from the corridors of power at Old Trafford.

The Turkey international only moved to Juventus earlier this summer when he joined the Bianconeri from fellow Italian side Sassuolo. The 21-year-old however, has endured a frustrating time with the Serie A giants, playing just the once, and finding himself on the bench more often than not.

Now, Bleacher Report journalist Dean Jones has suggested the centre-back is "open" to the idea of a move in January if he cannot make his breakthrough into the Juventus team. He adds that there is interest from both United and Premier League rivals Arsenal in potentially securing his signature.

After hearing about the links to Demiral, United fans took to Twitter to voice their thoughts on their supposed transfer target.

Many supporters of the Manchester side threw their backing behind a potential move for the 6 foot 4 man, with some even suggesting he could be the second-coming of Red Devils legend Nemanja Vidic.
