After enduring a difficult start to the campaign, Manchester United return from the international break last weekend to earn a very creditable 1-1 draw with reigning Champions League holders Liverpool.

The Red Devils were just five minutes away from clinching a superb victory, but a late Adam Lallana equaliser stopped them from doing so. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side then went on to secure a 1-0 away win against Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League, and so naturally, you may have expected the United boss to feel a tad more confident about his team's future prospects.

However, ahead of the clash against Norwich on Sunday afternoon, the Norwegian made a frankly baffling comment about his team's chances of picking up a good result. Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the former Molde manager said that he hopes they can stop the Canaries, and that they would need to be at their best to have a chance.

Safe to say, those words didn't go down particularly well with the United faithful. Taking to Twitter to voice their frustrations, many supporters of the Manchester side insisted Solskjaer's comments are "absolutely inexcusable".
