Luke Shaw’s long term layoff has forced Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal into the transfer market, according to reports in the Express.
Charlton defender Morgan Fox is reported to be high on the Dutchman’s wish list, following Shaw’s horrific double broken leg picked up in the loss to PSV.
The former Southampton teenager is expected to be out for around six months, leaving the Red Devils short at the back.
With Marcos Rojo also injured, summer signing Matteo Darmian has been forced to switch flanks and fill the gap at let-back.
Now, van Gaal is thought to be keen on the 22-year old Welsh under-21 international, who is yet to sign a new deal with the Championship club.
Fox has previously played for Notts County on loan, and could be set for a Premier League switch.
