So the Tahith Chong transfer saga could be approaching its conclusion.

The Manchester United starlet has been linked with a move away for quite some time now, with reports previously suggesting that he had decided not to renew his contract and that Juventus were interested in signing him.

However, now it appears the Bianconeri's Serie A rivals Inter have stolen a march, with journalist Fabrizio Romano delivering a major update on the situation via his official Twitter account.

Whilst Chong may not have exactly made a major breakthrough into the first-team like Mason Greenwood or Brandon Williams - he has played just eight games of senior football this season after all - he has still had some rave reviews about his potential.

First-team coach Kieran McKenna previously remarked that he is an "eye-catching player", whilst former manager Jose Mourinho praised him after his performance in a pre-season friendly against Club America, saying he has "quality".

He may not have delivered on his potential just yet, but it would be a particularly damning sight if he did so at Inter.

Meanwhile, Man Utd fans react as a European giant enters the race to sign their loanee.
