According to Turkish outlet Asist Analiz, Manchester United are set to make a “giant offer” for Trabzonspor midfielder Yusuf Yazici this summer.
The report claims that the Red Devils are planning on making a bid in the region of €27m (£24.2m) plus €4m (£3.5m) in add-ons for the midfielder.
It adds that the 22-year-old has also been linked with a move to French sides Lille and AS Monaco but that Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu has yet to receive an offer that matches their valuation of the player.
Despite being just 22, Yazici is already the captain of the Turkish side and enjoyed a fine campaign for the club as they finished fourth in the league.

The Turkey international netted four times and assisted a further three across all competitions last season, but it was his underlying numbers that make him a possibly intriguing option for United this summer.
In the Super Lig last term, Yazici registered 2.5 shots and 1.9 key passes per game and was a constant outlet in the attacking third for Trabzonspor. Reports in recent weeks have suggested Paul Pogba could be on his way out of Old Trafford before the end of the transfer window, and were that to happen, the Red Devils would be losing a major goal threat from midfield.

Yazici could help fill that void and his added versatility of being able to play out wide on either flank adds an extra string to his bow. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have already signed Daniel James this summer, but are seemingly short of options from the right-hand side of midfield. Signing Yazici would add a player to the squad who can play in numerous positions and do different jobs based on the situation at hand.
Indeed, such is Yazici’s quality, that Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil gave a glowing endorsement of his talents back in January 2018. The German World Cup winner said: “Yusuf Yazici is an amazing No 10. We have a lot of similarities and I see myself in him. His left foot, his position, his close passing and calmness on the ball. We will see Yusuf at a big European club in the near future.”
If reports are to be believed, then Yazici may be playing for a big European club sooner rather than later.
