Well that was certainly a chastening experience for Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Coming up against an in-form Liverpool side who have been brushing aside the competition in the Premier League, and who were unbeaten heading into the clash on Sunday afternoon, was always going to be a tall order.

Wan-Bissaka has enjoyed an impressive start to life with Manchester United, making a total of 78 tackles in the top-flight - a number that is the third-highest in the entire division. But against the Red Devils' arch-rivals at Anfield, the Englishman struggled big-time to cope with the home side's attack.

As per Sofascore, he won just four of his ten total duels, made just one tackle, was dribbled past twice (including one moment where Roberto Firmino left him on his back-side), and failed to complete any of his three attempted crosses.

And after seeing his performance, United fans took to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the 22-year-old.

A couple of fans suggested Wan-Bissaka looked dead on his feet in the clash against Liverpool, with one supporter in particular calling for Diogo Dalot to be given a chance.

Some supporters of the Manchester side criticised the full-back's abilities going forward, and that whilst he may be good in defensive situations, he simply doesn't offer enough when United are attacking.

After arriving in a big-money deal from Palace, Wan-Bissaka would have been well aware of the enormous step-up he was making in playing for a side like United. The demands on players at either club is vastly different, with the pressure and spotlight on those plying their trade at Old Trafford significantly higher than at Selhurst Park.
