The opening 25 minutes or so of Manchester United versus Everton wasn’t exactly the enthralling encounter we were hoping for, with the only real moment of quality coming from a delightful back-heel pass from Angel di Maria. Therefore, it makes perfect sense that the former Real Madrid attacker was the man to open the deadlock at Old Trafford; receiving a pass from Juan Mata, di Maria calmly curled the ball past Tim Howard to give Louis van Gaal’s side the advantage.
Angel di Maria’s goal in the first game of Super Sunday’s triple-header now means the Argentine international has three goals and two assists in not even five Premier League games.
Sure, the 26-year-old cost a ridiculous amount of money, however, Manchester United’s hierarchy and fans won’t mind if he continues with this kind of form.
Over to you, Angel
Lovely goal from Man Utd to go 1-0 up. Di María with the finish!… http://t.co/NhEySQy6Td
