Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been the target of criticism over the last few days due to the club’s Champions League exit.

On paper, the Red Devils were expected to progress into the quarter-finals at the expense of Sevilla, but the Spanish club caused a surprise result.

The goalless first leg kept the tie evenly poised for the second leg at Old Trafford, but Mourinho’s players failed to live up to expectation as they limped to a 2-1 loss.

Understandably, the fans have been disappointed and struggling to switch focus to this weekend’s FA Cup action.

In Friday’s press conference, the Portuguese coach launched into a 12-minute rant defending his record at the club after he was asked about the mood of the fans post-Champions League exit.

At one point, the manager read from a piece of paper, listing what he has achieved during his time at the North West outfit.

Rival fans could not help but liken the rant to when then-Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez listed numerous facts after getting sucked into Sir Alex Ferguson’s mind games.

Supporters of various clubs swiftly took to Twitter to mock Mourinho’s speech.
