Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal will consider leaving the club this summer, according to reports from the Mirror.
Van Gaal has been heavily linked with an exit in recent weeks, with fans and critics unhappy with his style of management at Old Trafford.
And amid the pressure, the Dutchman may ponder a summer departure despite having one more year left to run on his contract at the end of the season.
It is believed that Van Gaal’s family has become concerned by the pressure heaped on by the United job, with the former Barcelona gaffer even himself raising the possibility of quitting rather than accepting a potential sack.
His exit could see ex-Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho take over the Man United helm, with his agent Jorge Mendes close to the Red Devils’ hierarchy.
United have however picked up their form in recent matches, securing seven out of a possible nine points in their last three games, which leaves them just two points off fourth placed Tottenham Hotspur in the table.
