Manchester United dealt another transfer blow

Manchester United have been dealt another transfer setback, this time in their pursuit of Fiorentina midfielder Borja Valero, according to talkSPORT.

David Moyes has reportedly made the ¬£25m rated midfielder a top transfer target for this summer, with his all action displays in Serie A making him the ideal fit for Manchester United’s struggling midfield.

But the news emerging from Italy is that the Spanish star is set to be offered a lucrative new contract to stay in Florence.

The midfielder’s agent, Alejandro Camano, is reported as saying: “At this moment I can not report on anything new, you should speak with the club¬† – the future is in their hands.

“At this time we have not planned anything. Now the focus is turned to the league and the Italian Cup final.

“I know that there have been rumours on the interest of Manchester United and Barcelona, but I have not had any contact.

“He is in love with Florence and Fiorentina and is very pleased to be part of the club, but at the moment there is no relevant news about his future.”

David Moyes has already missed out on a host of midfield targets during his time at Old Trafford, with the likes of Thiago Alcantara, Cesc Fabreges, Anders Herrera and Koke all committing their future to their current clubs or moving elsewhere.
