Manchester United eye double Bundesliga raid

Manchester United manager David Moyes is considering a double raid on Borussia Monchengladbach for striker and midfielder Max Kruse and Patrick Herrmann, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Red Devils are widely expected to splash the cash between now and the end of the month in a bid to improve their ailing fortunes this season, with their manager set to be backed heavily by the club’s owners.

Although Juan Mata and Ilkay Gundogan are believed to be major targets, the Scot is also keen on the Monchengladbach pair.

Both players have been key to their side’s excellent start to the season, with Kruse in particular receiving much praise for his goal-scoring antics.

Moyes is set to jet to Germany later this week to watch the double act in action as they take on Bayern Munich.

Kruse could be their preferred man, with the 25-year-old having netted eight goals in the league this season.

Herrmann is also highly thought of at United, with the wide midfielder having already been dubbed ‘the new Marco Reus’ – who is coincidently also a target for the Premier League champions.
