An added time goal from Marcus Rashford completed Manchester United’s comeback victory against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
After a woeful first half performance, United improved greatly after the break and created a succession of chances to go ahead against the Cherries. However, it wasn’t until injury time at the end of the 90 minutes that the Red Devils finally made their pressure pay off.
Rashford latched onto a Paul Pogba cross and showed great composure to slot the ball past Asmir Begovic from close range, ensuring that his side would take a much needed three points back to Old Trafford.

However, Jose Mourinho’s side made hard work of the victory, which will concern plenty of fans. They squandered a host of second half goal-scoring opportunities, with Rashford himself guilty of failing to convert a simple chance.
United will be glad of the three points, but they still have a long way to go before they’ll be back competing at the top. After the game, plenty of United fans took to Twitter to celebrate Rashford’s winner, and also to encourage him to kick on from here…
Martial and Rashford, who Mourinho criticised so heavily last season are now saving his job. He doesn’t deserve this.

Still feel Rashford lacks composure in front of the goal. He almost bottled that chance as well. Hope his fergie time winner gives him much needed confidence. We should’ve scored at least 3 or 4 with the kind of chances we had. #mufc

Rashford redeemed himself with that late winner. Lingard should have had one too! We were deserving winners in the end! Now on to Juve!
