Manchester United fans discuss where season went wrong

The pressure was on Manchester United to give Manchester City and Chelsea a run for their money this season.

Jose Mourinho was in his second year in charge of the North-West outfit, and even though he benefited from his former club Chelsea slipping up in the title race, he could not rely on City to do the same.

In fact, Pep Guardiola’s side stormed to the title and on the final day of the season they became the first ever Premier League club to claim 100 points in a campaign.

United finished second in the table, but they were a mammoth 19 points adrift of their neighbours come the final whistle.

Despite another title bid falling by the wayside, Mourinho’s men have the chance to scoop silverware as they prepare to take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final on May 19.

Expectations are high at Old Trafford, though, so even if they do claim their 13th FA Cup, fans will be remain disappointed by the lack of staying power in the title race.

On Twitter, the supporters chose moments when they believed that the league campaign went downhill.
