With the Premier League season 11 games in, clubs' summer signings can begin to be fairly judged.

Some have shined, while others have flopped, and for Manchester United fans, Nemanja Matic has certainly been a hit.

The midfielder moved to Old Trafford from rivals Chelsea in a deal that was not initially backed by all.

Rumours were rife that Jose Mourinho wanted Tottenham Hotspur's Eric Dier to be United's new defensive midfielder, but Matic has certainly been a welcome addition.

The Serbian has started every single one of the team's top-flight matches, as well as their four Champions League group games so far.

Matic has become a reliable figure in the middle of the park for United, who currently sit second in the league table, eight points adrift of leaders Manchester City.

The midfielder's teammate Chris Smalling recently talked up the importance of Matic, and the fans are in full agreement.
