Manchester United have been drawn against Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semi-finals, due to take place at Wembley Stadium in late April.
It’s something of a ‘home’ tie for Spurs, who have made Wembley their temporary base this season while their new stadium is finished.
However, the Red Devils were drawn from the hat first, so Tottenham will be in a different dressing room that they’re used to, small consolation from what is a very tough draw for Jose Mourinho’s side.
Mauricio Pochettino’s outfit won 2-0 the last time the teams faced off at the national stadium in January, scoring twice within 30 minutes to put the game beyond their visitors.
That may be why some United fans are worried about the match-up, with some believing this is the stage of the competition which they will go out in.
It’s set to be a smashing contest for the neutral and many will fancy the winner of this one to go on and lift the cup in the final.
Supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the draw…
Spurs away. Worst possible draw that #MUFC

Perfect draw for Mourinho, that. Has a ready made excuse when we fail in this competition too #MUFC

Oh dear #MUFC have been drawn against Spurs in the Semi-final of the FA Cup… don't think we will be winning anything this year now! I hope I'm proved wrong but that's the worst draw for us IMO… Spurs at "Home" is extremely tough! #FACup 🔴⚽

So we’ll face Spurs in the #FACup semi final. Probably the toughest draw available as they are basically at home playing at Wembley but we’ll have to put in a top display & see where it takes us. Hopefully we can learn from our mistakes from when we faced them their in PL #mufc

Chances of us beating Spurs at Wembley? Zero, zilch, absolutely fuck all. We've come a long way from "Lads, it's Tottenham." #facupdraw #MUFC

Even without Kane #Spurs will surely be favourites, as things stand, going into the FA Cup Semi Final based on recent results and that ‘Home Advantage’ that no other team has. #MUFC #FACup 🇾🇪🔴⚪️⚫️
