Manchester United fans are over the moon about Romelu Lukaku, after the Belgian put in another good shift in their FA Cup win.
Much like Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku seems to be judged with different standards to other big money signings.
Maybe it’s the fact that he came from within the Premier League, maybe it’s the sheer size of his transfer fee, or maybe it’s just because it’s Manchester United, but the Belgian has taken plenty of stick this season.
Despite the negativity from elsewhere though, Manchester United fans are in love with their new number nine, and he showed why yet again on Saturday.
Lukaku couldn’t get on the scoresheet in the Red Devils’ 2-1 semi-final win, but his tireless work rate and passion for the shirt has pleased fans.
He also got an assist, though even his staunchest defenders would admit that was a little bit lucky.
The former Everton man has more goals in his debut season at Old Trafford than any of Carlos Tevez, Wayne Rooney or even Andy Cole managed. He also has nearly double the goals tally of Alvaro Morata, who he has been compared to throughout the season (27 to 14).
Fans are heaping praise on their big Belgian, and some of the best Twitter reactions can be found below…
Compare Lukaku with what Kane offered yesterday and you’ll see why I adore Lukaku. Once said Lukaku was hardest working striker in the league and got laughed at but I stand by that. Lukaku worked tirelessly yesterday once again. Just gets on with it. Incredible buy.

When Lukaku has a bad game, he still works hard and tries to help his team no matter his form. You see him assisting on the wings and helping in the midfield, what does Morata do? Sulks helplessly while he lifts himself from the grass; Spanish antelope.

Is it just me or is Lukaku one of the most complete forwards?
Yeah, bad first touch but have you seen his work rate? Or passes? Or crosses?

Don't forget Lukaku, unreal work rate from him today. Unnoticed but great performance by him.
