The one type of player that Manchester United desperately needed in the summer was a centre-back.
Jose Mourinho failed to get his wish, and as a result has had Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones to choose from.
It has certainly not been plain sailing given that a handful of them have had spells on the sideline with injuries.
Bailly was arguably the best out of the bunch last season, but in the current campaign, Mourinho has opted not to play the Ivory Coast international on a regular basis.
According to the Daily Record, the 24-year-old is frustrated with his circumstances at Old Trafford, which has altered the attention of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The report adds that Mourinho has set his sights on landing Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time.
