Twitter is awash tonight with Manchester United fans railing against Louis Van Gaal’s team selection for their crunch Champions League match-up against CSKA Moscow tonight.
Losing this game doesn’t bear thinking about for United and would put untold pressure on them in the last two games of the group.
But tonight, Van Gaal has kept the faith in Wayne Rooney up front, which may mean that Anthony Martial is relegated to a role on the flank. Rooney has been in rotten form, he looks old and tired and really just a shell of his former self. Meanwhile, Martial has looked easily United’s best attacking threat over the past few weeks.
Morgan Schneiderlin is left out tonight too, leaving United fans worried of a repeat of the last time he was dropped, against Arsenal away!
Jesse Lingard is the player setting United’s fans alight on Twitter, though. Another youth product making the grade always makes the United faithful proud, but his pace and directness could make United a more potent attacking threat tonight.
I don't wanna remember the last match we dropped Morgan, hope we win this match & try to play some good football far from the 'Filozofy'#mufc

Rooney still in the lineup.. those rumors are true, he must have a clause in his contract that makes him play every game #MUFC
