Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter to voice their discontent at the performance of their on-loan defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah, after the Dutch international's own goal against Huddersfield saw Fulham sink to the bottom of the league.

The 20-year-old full-back has yet to progress in what appeared to be an extremely promising career having made his debut for the Red Devils at just 18 years of age. Last season, he started brightly whilst on loan with Crystal Palace, but ultimately ended up third in the pecking order behind Joel Ward and rising star Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

His latest career episode comes whilst out on another loan spell, this time with the Cottagers, but his fortunes have gone from bad to worse whilst at Craven Cottage.

The former Ajax man gave away a penalty for the opening goal in what turned out to be an embarrassing performance against Bournemouth two weeks ago, whilst the aforementioned own goal against the Terriers has United fans questioning his credentials and ability to make the grade at Old Trafford.

Let's take a look at some of the best tweets from United fans regarding Fosu-Mensah's form...
