Amidst all the drama surrounding his teammate Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku has had his fair share of a summer rollercoaster ride too.
The Belgium international has seen his name linked with a move to Inter for a number of weeks now, but it appears he may not be getting the move away from Old Trafford that everyone initially expected.
According to BBC Sport, Lukaku looks “increasingly likely” to stay at United this summer as Inter seemingly remain unwilling to match United’s valuation of the striker.
The report adds that United do not want to allow their second most expensive player in history leave without making a profit on him, and as of yet, there have been no bids for the 26-year-old.

After hearing the news Lukaku could remain in Manchester for the foreseeable future, United fans took to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the matter.
Despite a rather underwhelming campaign last season in which he netted just 15 goals from 45 appearances, some Red Devils supporters backed the centre-forward and insisted that they would choose him over Marcus Rashford.
Indeed, a few even suggested that Lukaku could return to his former form if given the right service next season and that they were “glad” he could potentially be staying.
Check out some of the reaction of United fans below:
I still choose him ahead Rashford as ST.

forget about his horrendous first touch. utd totally right here. someone with a good goalscoring record at club and international level cant be sold cheaply in this inflated market . chelsea sold morata for 63m and luk is of better pedigree. utd right to play hardball

I’m glad, think players will step up this season. Rom inform is a big player for us

I actually agree with this. I’m sick of us selling players for cut price fees. The guy is 25/26, can still bang in goals and is Belgium’s all time leading scorer. Why should we give him away for less than what we want? Especially to Inter after what they did to us with Perisic.
