Former Manchester United star Henrikh Mkhitaryan failed to impress in his first big test for Arsenal on Saturday, part of a Gunners side that lost 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in the North London Derby.

The Armenian failed to combine effectively with his teammates in the final third throughout, generally sloppy in possession and anonymous when not.

Arsene Wenger decided enough was enough just after the hour mark when he hauled the 29-year-old off for Alexandre Lacazette.

It was a far cry from his hat-trick of assists against Everton last week, a performance that prompted Arsenal fans to enthuse greatly about his arrival at the Emirates and left some Man United fans envious.

It's fair to say Red Devils' supporters enjoyed his performance this week more and they reacted strongly on social media in the wake of the performance, some taking part in jokes at the midfielder's expense and others making a serious point that he simply didn't have what it takes to be a success at Old Trafford...

This is a small slice of the reaction...
