Amidst all the speculation surrounding whether Paul Pogba will stay or go this summer, Manchester United continue to be linked with a whole host of names in the midfield position.

The likes of Bruno Fernandes and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic have seemingly been at the centre of attention in recent weeks in regards to speculation over a move to Old Trafford, but it now appears Christian Eriksen has entered the frame.

The Daily Mail claim that United have asked to be kept informed over Eriksen's future at Tottenham this summer, as the Denmark international has just one year remaining on his current contract.

It adds that the 27-year-old could be allowed to leave for a fee in the region of £70m, and that the Red Devils could emerge as "genuine contenders" for his signature.

After hearing about the latest developments surrounding their pursuit of Eriksen, United fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the situation.

Many Manchester United fans expressed their frustrations that the Danish star was not what they needed and instead urged the club to get a deal done for Sporting's Fernandes.

Others however felt Eriksen was proven Premier League quality and his versatility could give United a different dimension going forward.
