Manchester United fans react to Romelu Lukaku’s Belgium brace

Romelu Lukaku was Belgium’s hero on Friday night as his two goals sealed a 2-1 victory over Switzerland in a Nations League encounter at Brussels’ Heysel Stadium.

The brace took the 6’3” striker’s tally of senior international strikes to 45 in 78 caps. After an inconsistent start to the new campaign for Manchester United, Jose Mourinho will be hoping that his powerful No. 9 returns from his international excursions full of confidence.

The Red Devils could certainly do with the boost that an in-form Lukaku would bring, as they currently sit in eighth place in the Premier League table, having already fallen to three defeats with just eight games played.

Whilst Lukaku will be pleased with his night’s work for his country, some United fans are wondering why he is struggling at domestic level. Plenty are pointing the finger of blame at the man in charge at Old Trafford, Mourinho.

Here’s a look at some of the reaction from United supporters following Lukaku’s fine display for Belgium…
