Having thrashed rivals Chelsea 4-0 in their opening Premier League game of the season, the sense of optimism at Manchester United was palpable.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side looked devastating on the counter-attack and ruthless in front of goal, but since that resounding victory, it has not been smooth sailing at all.

Two draws, and a defeat to Crystal Palace at home, have meant the Red Devils have just five points to their name from their first four league games, leaving them in eighth in the table.

Despite their recent slump, Solskjaer has insisted the club are on the "right track" and deserved to win all three of their previous matches.

After hearing the Norwegian's comments, United fans took to Twitter to voice their concerns about the situation.

Many supporters of the Manchester side completely disagreed with Solskjaer's reflections, and admitted there are signs that the club is nowhere near being on the right track.

Some Red Devils fans slammed the United boss for simply being "deluded", and urged him to wake up and face reality.
