Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose started and impressed in a wing-back role for England in their 2-0 friendly win against Costa Rica at Elland Road on Thursday night, and Manchester United fans have urged their club to bring the 27-year-old, who earns £65,000-a-week according to the Daily Mail, to Old Trafford.
The Doncaster-born player found first-team starts hard to come by with Spurs last term having recovered from injury in October, with Ben Davies proving to be Mauricio Pochettino’s first-choice left-back/left wing-back.
Rose made 17 appearances in total as he was hampered by knee problems at times even after his return, but he could well be a target for Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho, who must hijack arch-rivals Man City’s bid to sign a £13.5m-rated dribble king they desperately need in their midfield, this summer if he wants to provide Ashley Young and Luke Shaw with some competition in that position.
Man United supporters were quick to have their say on Rose’s latest display via social media, and while one said “I would love to see him at United next season”, another said “just look at how much better he is than Young”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
Just watched England and got to say I was impressed with Danny Rose.
If Jose does want to sign a left back we can do a lot worse than Rose.
I would love to see him at United next season.

I would still love Danny Rose at United. Without being full on 'yer dad' if his name wasn't Danny Rose and he was born outside the british isles he would be rated much higher.

All the talk about Ronaldo, Bale and griezman. As a United fan I’d love to see us go all out for Rose, would balance our team perfectly
