Manchester United keen on Madrid ace

Luka ModricDavid Moyes is planning to bring Luka Modric to Manchester United from Real Madrid, according to the Mirror.

Modric has struggled to make an impact at the Bernabeu after joining the Spanish giants from Tottenham last summer and a swift return to England could be on the cards.

Chelsea are also known to be keen on the Croatian star after failing with a number of bids in the past but Moyes will be hopeful of luring the playmaker to Old Trafford.

A fee in the region of £24million would be enough to secure the 27-year-old’s signature if Real decide to let the player move on and United would have no problem matching it.

Modric could pass Wayne Rooney through the Old Trafford revolving door as reports claim Real will try and lure the striker to Spain when the transfer window opens again.
