Manchester United keen on SPL ace

Fraser Forster (Celtic)Manchester United are plotting a move for Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

The 25-year-old has recently emerged as one of England’s top stoppers, and is second in line to Joe Hart for the Three Lions’ number one jersey.

His impressive displays in the Scottish top tier have seen Roy Hodgson take notice, and it is thought that United have also been watching him closely.

Red Devils goalkeeping coach Chris Woods is thought to have been tasked with outlining a potential new arrival, and has put Forster at the top of his list.

Although David de Gea is firmly established as David Moyes’ number one, but the Spaniard is known to be prone to errors.

Forster is seen as the ideal man to provide him with a greater level of competition or potentially replace him if he completed a rumoured move back to his homeland.

The Hoops stopper has been in fantasist form north or the border for some time, playing a key role in the Bhoys’ last two SPL title wins and Champions League campaigns.

Forster is yet to make his England debut, but is expected to do so during the friendly ties in the build up to the World Cup.
