Ajax manager Frank de Boer claims that star man Christian Eriksen may have to leave Holland to further his career this summer, as reported by talksport.
The highly rated playmaker has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in recent months and new manager David Moyes could see the Danish international as the perfect replacement for retiring Paul Scholes.
Champions League runners up Borussia Dortmund are currently the favourites to bag the 21-year-old this summer after losing their own playmaker Mario Gotze to rivals Bayern Munich.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is also a massive fan of the Ajax midfielder and could use some of the money left over from the probable sale of Luis Suarez to beat his rivals to his man.
“With his technique and his style of play he could be even more dangerous in front of goal,” De Boer told Tuttomercatoweb.com.
“I think he would fit in well with any kind of football and perhaps now is the right time for him to take the next step [in his career].”
