Mason Greenwood has a very bright future ahead of him.
The 17-year-old was awarded his first senior start of the season by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Thursday night, as Manchester United welcomed FC Astana to Old Trafford, and the rest was history – quite literally.

Just shy of his 18th birthday, Greenwood became United’s youngest ever scorer in Europe – a record formerly held by his senior on the night, Marcus Rashford, whose performance left a lot to be desired (again). Are we witnessing a passing of the torch?
Indeed, going off the level of confidence with which he plays, it almost seems unfathomable that Greenwood is so young. This is a man who can’t legally buy a post-match pint, yet there he was sending a group of Astana players and fans 3,700 miles back to Kazakhstan empty-handed. He was born to destroy dreams, and with United, he’s got an opportunity to do that.
