Manchester United star open to loan switch

Manchester United striker Federico MachedaManchester United striker Federico Macheda has revealed that he is open to a loan move away from the club.

The Italian spent last term with QPR, but struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular as the Londoners battled against relegation.

Before this switch he spent time in his homeland with Sampdoria, yet failed to score in 14 appearances as the club were relegated from Serie A.

Despite his ill-fated loan moves, the 21-year-old admitted that he is willing to leave Old Trafford once again in a bid to gain experience:

“I had very bad luck with the loans but I think it helped me a lot. I think it helped me to gain experience in general. If I go out again on loan, I’m sure I will do well,” he is quoted by talkSPORT.

“I have been away two times already and, if it happens again, I’d look forward to getting playing time because maybe I made some mistakes but now I understand, I will take the chances I will have.”

Macheda finds himself behind the likes of Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck in the battle for a spot in Sir Alex Ferguson’s plans.

Although he confessed it will be difficult to break into the first-team, Macheda is insistent that he will fight to play as long as he is at the club:

“I have to push myself and train hard every day. Of course, in front of me, I’ve got top, top players like Robin, Wayne, Chicha (Hernandez) and Welbz (Welbeck) as well.

“It’s hard for me to get in the first team but I have to train hard for myself for the future. I’m still only young.”
