Manchester United stars bail on sponsorship event in transport debacle protest

According to the Daily Mail, a group of Manchester United stars refused to take part in one of the club’s monthly sponsorship events in protest at the recent transport shambles that has effected the squads’ travel to matches.

The Red Devils squad turned up late yet again for their Champions League clash with Juventus at Old Trafford on Tuesday night. Prior to that, they also failed to arrive on time for their fixture with Valencia, which resulted in a fine for the club from UEFA, as reported by The Sun.

Whilst some members of the United squad are reported to have bailed on their sponsorship commitments in protest at this travel shambles, certain stars did arrive at the event on Thursday. Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, Ashley Young and Lee Grant were in attendance at the True Religion launch at Victoria Warehouse.

Jose Mourinho’s side host the in-form Everton on Sunday, with kick off scheduled for 4pm…assuming the Red Devils arrive on time.
