Manchester United talisman unconvinced by Moyes

Robin van Persie (Manchester United)Robin van Persie is unimpressed by David Moyes’ start to life as Manchester United manager, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Scot was drafted in to replace compatriot Sir Alex Ferguson over the summer, after the Red Devils icon elected to retire.

‘Fergie’ was key in convincing van Persie to swap Arsenal for United, and it is said that the two had an excellent relationship, which proved to be very fruitful last term.

It is believed that the Dutchman does not have the same feelings toward Moyes, who is yet to convince him that he is the right man to lead the Red Devils to glory.

The 30-year-old is believed to be frustrated by some of the former Everton chief’s training methods, and appeared to be uncomfortable in the side’s set-up for their 1-0 defeat to bitter rivals Liverpool last weekend.

Van Persie seemed frustrated at Anfield, and came close to being sent off for a few petulant incidents.

A source close to the forward revealed he is not currently at the top of his game under Moyes: “Robin isn’t happy and when that’s the case he can’t hide it on the pitch.

“When he’s frustrated he is capable of doing something silly, and you could see that against Liverpool.

“He feels it isn’t the same with the new manager as he misses working with Fergie, who he really loved playing under.”

Is Robin van Persie really unhappy at Manchester United? And can David Moyes win him over?
