Manchester United target pledges future to Juventus

Manchester United target Arturo Vidal has pledged his future to Juventus until 2018, according to the Daily Mail.

David Moyes has been desperately scouting midfield reinforcements and had given the names of Vidal and Juve teammate Paul Pogba to Manchester United bosses.

However, the 26-year-old Chilean is set to sign an extended deal at the Old Lady, that is set to see him earn £200k a week.

Vidal had only signed a contract extension in early December, which would have kept him at the Serie A leaders until 2017.

But speculation over interest from Manchester United has mounted, after David Moyes traveled to Italy to watch the pair in action last month.

Juventus are desperate to hold onto one of their best players, and are set to offer improved terms to see off interest from the Premier League champions.

Earlier in the week it was reported that United’s other midfield target Paul Pogba, has no interest in a return to Old Trafford.

Vidal was signed by Juventus from Bayern Leverkusen in 2011, and has gone on to establish himself as one of the best box-to-box midfielders in Europe in Turin.

Vidal has played 52 times for Chile, scoring eight goals, including five in 11 appearances to help his country qualify for this summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
