The Belgian has been heavily linked with Manchester United, who had two joint bids for Fellaini and Baines rejected by Everton.
But the 25-year-old is keen to move to Old Trafford and join up with David Moyes, and is set to hand in a transfer request to push through a transfer to the Premier League champions. It is unknown whether Everton will accept his request, with the club keen to keep the Belgian at the club.
Fellaini has a £23.5m release clause in his contract which expired on July 31, but kicks back in on January 1, and David Moyes isn’t keen on paying more than that fee. Whilst Fellaini has this clause, the Toffees value him at £25million.
With just hours left of the transfer window, Fellaini will look to pressure the Everton hierarchy with a formal request to leave the club, after playing what he believes to be his last game for the Toffees in their 0-0 draw with Cardiff.
Manchester United have been searching for a new midfielder, after missing out on Thiago Alcantara and Cesc Fabregas. And news of a transfer request from Fellaini may encourage David Moyes to improve his bid for the Belgian as the deadline gets ever closer.
Would Fellaini do well at United? Should he stay at Everton?
