Manchester United were expected to be very busy during this summer's transfer market, but we are now a third of the way into it and the Red Devils have so far made just one signing. They will need to move quickly to get themselves ready for the first game of the season against Chelsea. Today's transfer roundup includes a move for a PSV defender, a star midfielder confirming interest in a switch and a refusal to sign a Ligue 1 ace.

Dumfries of interest

According to the Sun, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's right-back search has put them in the direction of Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries. The Norwegian is in need of a right-back and, after a bid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka was rejected, he has now turned his attention to the PSV man. The 6 ft 1 defender is available for roughly £25m.

Pogba wants to leave Old Trafford

Paul Pogba has confirmed that he is ready for a new challenge this summer. The French international told reporters in Tokyo last week, "After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well... I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else."

No interest in Tielemans

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that United have passed up on the chance to sign Youri Tielemans after the Belgian was offered to them by French club Monaco. The Ligue 1 side have placed a €45m (£40.2m) valuation on the player's head, but Ed Woodward and co have decided to pursue other targets.
