Goalkeeper – David De Gea

Being one of the finest recent products of the Atletico Madrid academy, you can’t imagine Diego Simeone having too many qualms with David De Gea maintaining his place as Manchester United’s No.1 for the foreseeable future.

Especially considering the 23 year-old’s form has been one of the few positives amid the Red Devils’ torrid campaign, with displays against Crystal Palace and Olympiakos particularly coming to mind.

The Spain international is a world-class shot-stopper, with an old school, cat-like style, and has shown tremendous application in developing the weaker areas of his game since joining the Premier League in summer 2011.

Backed up by sturdy understudy Andreas Lindegaard too, the goalkeeping department is probably the only area of the Carrington roster that wouldn’t require Simeone’s drastic attention this summer.
