Manchester United’s ‘Dream XI’ under Louis van Gaal

We may not yet be sure of who or when, but we do know that Manchester United will be welcoming a host of new arrivals this summer.

Not only have the Red Devils just come to the end of their worst campaign in Premier League history, but ageing veterans Rio Ferdinand (Bosman), Nemanja Vidic (Inter Milan) and Ryan Giggs (retired) have all brought their playing days to Old Trafford to an end,  while Patrice Evra, Javier Hernandez, and Nani, to name but a few, are expected to quickly follow suit.

Resultantly, incoming manager Louis van Gaal will be privy to an unprecedented spending warchest in the coming transfer window, allegedly around the £200million mark.

With that in mind, Football FanCast have speculated as to what United’s ‘dream XI’ might look like next season, combining the club’s best performers this term (admittedly, few and far between) with transfer targets fans would love to see join the Carrington ranks this summer.
