We’ve seen some things in our time, but the supposedly leaked image of Manchester United’s Chinese New Year release takes the biscuit as one of the most preposterously disgusting things we’ve had the misfortune of viewing.

Had you been eagerly awaiting the release, which we certainly weren’t, in the hope that the United designers were going to come up trumps and produce something as similarly beautiful as their 1988 away shirt, then we’re afraid you’re probably going to be bitterly disappointed.

The allegedly leaked photo was reported by Footy Headlines, although images like this always need to be taken with a pinch of salt. The fact Footy Headlines' article simply claims "a new kit leak from the Premier League has appeared", as though it suddenly burst into existence on the internet without any influence from actual human beings, kind of sums it all up.

And as you can see, it's an almost impressively garish number...

Ah, our eyes. Please make it stop.

The top - which is presumably going to be released at some point in January around Chinese New Year - looks like it's been crafted out of Del Boy's famous dressing gown.
