Manchester United have now officially released their new third kits for the 2019/20 season.

Of course, the new colours come courtesy of Adidas football once again and also represent the Red Devils' tribute to one of the big moments in their history.

To be more precise, the "minimal and yet stylish design" celebrates Manchester United's first FA Cup win from way back in 1909, when they beat Bristol City in a narrow 1-0 clash.

Back then, it was Sandy Turnbull's goal that made the difference on the night and gave the trophy to the Manchester team. And it was in that moment they adopted the Lancashire red rose crest which will now have a unique print incorporated onto the new third kit.

Their young stars, Luke Shaw and Daniel James, quickly took to Instagram to share some of the first snaps showcasing their new colours. Shaw captioned the snap as "Roses are red" and "The Lancaster rose returns", which was the appropriate description taking into account the team paying homage to the historic victory. [ad_pod ]
