The Sun find themselves embroiled in another controversy.

Everybody has their opinion of the tabloid paper, and it's quite often a negative one. Indeed, the term large portions of society have appointed Rupert Murdoch’s press machine, "The Scum", seems alarmingly appropriate in this latest instance.

There are seemingly no moral boundaries they will not cross to find a story, which is also probably what makes them one of the best-selling outlets in the country.

There is only an unwavering intent to raise capital, with absolutely no regard for the very potent, human consequences of their actions.

And it seems the more successful you are in life, the bigger target you have placed on you, as Ben Stokes discovered this week.

The 28-year-old recently helped guide England Cricket to their first World Cup win in history and followed up the achievement with an incredible performance to secure victory from the clutches of defeat in the third Test against Australia.

However, while the rest of the country were out celebrating, one reporter from The Sun was busy developing a wholly unnecessary story about the tragic events of Stokes’ personal life; the details of which we shall not repeat.

Stokes did however release a statement today slamming the decision to broadcast sensitive information about his family.

Footballers know a thing or two about being attacked by tabloids. Raheem Sterling is a prime example. So it was hardly surprising that Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford was one of the high profile sportsmen to respond to Stokes in solidarity...
