England’s hopes and dreams at the FIFA Women’s World Cup have come to an end.
The Lionesses were beaten by the holders, the United States of America, in an extremely tough and competitive match in the semi-finals of this coveted tournament.
Still, giving the USA a run for their money and coming close to a big final is definitely something to be proud of, and Marcus Rashford, Manchester United’s young starlet, made sure that they know it.
The youngster took to social media as he tweeted a short motivational message for the Lionesses, telling them to keep their heads up.

It was really quite the ride for England as they gave their all and were among the elite in the tournament’s best four. Their performances throughout the whole competition have been nothing short of sensational.
As for Rashford, even though this is a gloomy day for England, the 21-year-old has just recently signed a new contract with the Red Devils so he still has reason to celebrate.
