Jose Mourinho has already made three signings this summer in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly and appears keen to trim the fat on what is becoming an inflated first-team squad.
According to The Telegraph, youngsters Tyler Blackett, Will Keane and James Wilson could all be heading to the exit door after struggling to hit the heights expected since emerging from the club’s academy system.
Wilson burst onto the scene with a brace against Hull upon his full Premier League debut but he’s scored just twice for the Red Devils since then and endured tepid form on loan at Brighton during the second half of last season.
Likewise, Keane made his United debut way back in 2011 under Sir Alex Ferguson but has proved worthy of just two more outings across all competitions and is now aged 23. Tyler Blackett, meanwhile, couldn’t force a first-team role whilst on loan at Celtic last season.
