Jose Mourinho is already putting plans in place ahead of a potential summer move to Manchester United, with Gonzalo Higuain, James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata being scouted, according to reports from Don Balon.
The Portuguese tactician has been out of work since being dismissed by Chelsea in December after a woeful start to the season, but his stock does not appear to have fallen.
Indeed, it’s already been suggested that a ‘pre-contract agreement’ between Mourinho and Man United has been settled with a view to Louis van Gaal being dismissed in a few months’ time, and reports claim that ‘The Special One’ is looking at potential signings, with Higuain, Morata and Rodriguez being eyed.
With the Red Devils short of firepower – they’re the lowest scorers in the Premier League’s top seven this term – Higuain and Morata are obvious remedies as centre-forwards.
Both play in Italy with Napoli and Juventus respectively, and it’s understood that a £58m deal for the Argentine has already been discussed.
Rodriguez of Real Madrid is a creative, goalscoring attacking midfielder, who has been heavily linked with a move this season amid rumours he’s grown unsettled at the Bernabeu.
