Mourinho already plotting moves for three top stars to build new Man United spine

Jose Mourinho is already scouting targets as he plots to add a new central defender, central midfielder and striker to his Manchester United ranks, according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio.

Speculation surrounding ‘The Special One’ moving to Old Trafford at the end of the season to replace Louis van Gaal has cooled over the course of the past week or so with the Dutchman having secured some vital wins for the Red Devils, but it’s widely assumed that the Portuguese tactician will be the club’s next manager amid suggestions there’s a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ in place.

As a result of this, reports claim Mourinho is already drawing up transfer plans and watching games across Europe, with a commanding defender, a quality midfielder and a prolific striker on his agenda as he plots to build an impressive spine for his potential team.

Although no names are given, United have been linked with a host of players in recent times, with a potential strike target being Mauro Icardi of Inter Milan.

Should Mourinho take over at the Theatre of Dreams he would surely expect vast backing in the transfer market after watching LVG be allowed to spend in excess of £250m in 18 months.
