Juventus are in constant contact with Manchester United star Anthony Martial regarding a move this summer, according to Calciomercato.
Questions have been raised over the long-term future of the attacking Frenchman due to his lack of game time at Old Trafford.
This season, under manager Jose Mourinho, the 22-year-old has made 42 appearances in all competitions, but only 25 of those outings have been starts.
In fact, Martial has been named in the first XI just 17 times in the top flight and has completed a full 90 minutes on just eight occasions in all competitions.
According to Calciomercato, the United attacker informed his camp months ago that he intends to leave the Red Devils.
The publication states that talks have already been held between Juventus and Martial’s representatives, and they continue to speak regularly.
Twelve goals and seven assists is a decent record given that Martial is rarely given the nod to start.
The former Monaco star, who signed for United in 2015, is a favourite among a large number of the club’s fanbase, but it seems that Mourinho is not quite convinced.
If Martial were to leave then the finger would have to be pointed at the manager, mainly due to his past.
Both Kevin De Bruyne and Mohamed Salah failed to cement a regular spot in Mourinho’s teams at Chelsea.
Both have since gone on to be influential for Manchester City and Liverpool respectively, and they were the main contenders for PFA Player of the Year until Salah scooped it.
