Newcastle United keen to bring in Manchester United youngster on loan

Newcastle United are interested in bringing in Manchester United striker James Wilson on loan next season, according to Daily Star Sunday.

The England Under-20s hitman is highly regarded by the coaching staff at Old Trafford and United boss Louis van Gaal wants to send him out on loan to give the youngster valuable first-team experience at a top-level club.

Wilson will be free to join a club on a temporary basis provided United have sufficient strength in depth in the attacking department.

Newcastle have been made aware of the situation and have registered their interest.

19 year-old Wilson is also believed to be putting pen to paper on a new contract with United before going.

The striker has made 16 appearances in all competitions this season, finding the net on two occasions.

Following Saturday’s loss to Premier League leaders Chelsea, Louis van Gaal’s side lie in third in the table with 65 points.
